By now, I’m sure the majority of you have heard of Younique. A makeup brand that is sold by independent consultants around the world. So please read on to get a true, honest, unbiased overview of some of the products from myself who’s 100% unaffiliated with this brand. The Younique Bronzers is dual sided half and matte to shimmer and can be purchased in three different shades. I believe the dual option is fantastic as you can use it matte where needed and then liven up some highlighting regions of the face with the shimmer side. These are formulated with the best for your skin elements, which is always an additional benefit! The product wore very well and lasted most of the day.
It is an extremely pigmented product so just a little goes a long way. Unfortunately, the color for me was all incorrect for me. Hermosa, the color that I personally select was on the pink side as you can see in the swatch. As I have olive skin this clearly is not fitted to my complexion but would definitely be considered a great match for someone with cooler undertones. I am caring these lip stains! They are extremely saturated with color and leave the lip with a phenomenal, all day look last. A genuine lip stain (as that one is) can be tricky to work with if not taken the proper steps.
However, invest the time to prepare your lip area (which is necessary for all lip staining) you will greatly benefit and learn to love lip discolorations as much as I do. I won’t go into detail on how to prepare your lip area for a stain as this isn’t articles on that, but I am going to do so soon definitely. I will however describe quickly what my definition of a true lip stain is really as there are many products calling themselves lip stains when they really aren’t.
Needless to state a lip stain should actually stain your lip area! Like spilling kool-aid on the white shirt…it is not going anywhere! If you are on the hunt for a genuine lip stain, then these puppies are for you! With that said…I have only tried two colors; Sultry and Shy.

Both dark colors. I cannot speak for the lighter color discolorations as Younique carries 7 different shades. I take advantage of this Rose water all the time! It’s kind of my go to spray for everything. From prepping to setting, soothing, and refreshing. I would suggest this product for someone on a budget searching for a single product that can do it all. It beautifully soaks in, leaving a gentle face each and every time.

I also examined Youniques Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes which I’m pretty sure was the innovative product that really got people interested in this brand to begin with.
You can see my review HERE. Do I think unique products are overpriced? That’s actually a hardcore question to answer. Being a beauty blogger and, well, being the beauty obsessed girl I am just, I pay very high prices for makeup and skincare regularly. The difference is that they are usually from familiar names and companies that are popular and sold to get that people all enter and trust.
The truth is as I’m sure we are all aware, is that even those big name trusted companies come out with products that are significantly less than subpar sometimes. So would I pay those higher prices for products that work equally well or better from a brand name that I’m not familiar with? I am looking at out some of their eyes products next definitely. Shadow, liner plus some blush maybe.
